We’re looking for a Data Scientist help us leverage the data from our over 60 million members to deliver key scientific, product and business insights. Data Science at Lumosity is inherently cross-functional, so our ideal candidate is intellectually curious and interested in solving the diverse set of problems that our small team works on.
YOU WILL
- Mine our database of human cognitive performance (over 2 billion game plays) to measure and understand human cognitive abilities and improve our cognitive training program
- Work with Product teams to develop new product features that leverage our database
- Design and testing improvements to our cognitive training system to improve efficacy and engagement
- Perform deep analyses to understand our users and answer product and business questions
- Serve as statistical consultants for relevant Product, Analytics and Marketing team projects
YOU HAVE
- 5+ years of experience conducting statistical analyses on large datasets
- PhD or Masters plus equivalent industry experience in a quantitative discipline
- Synthesized analyses and effectively communicate findings and recommendations in a clear, compelling, and actionable fashion
- Extensive experience coding with statistical software packages such as R, Matlab, SAS, or Stata
- Significant experience with at least one scripting language such as Python or Ruby
NICE TO HAVE
- Quantitative and computational analyses of human cognition
- Used statistical modeling to deliver financial or business insights
- Experience writing production-level code using state of the art machine learning techniques
