ABOUT THE ROLE

Are you passionate about sales, like to uncover new opportunities, connected in the Chicago market, and adept at navigating through large client organizations to get to the right people?

Centro’s Chicago Account Executive will be responsible for developing strong relationships and growing business at some of the country’s largest accounts.

We’re looking for someone that has sales experience as well as recent client and/or media agency experience.

Centro is a technology and services company that builds and executes multi-channel digital solutions for clients.

Successful candidates can demonstrate intellectual curiosity to seek out emerging technologies and innovative tactics to solve business challenges cross-vertical and showcase thought leadership.

 

ABOUT THE TEAM

The AE will be based in Chicago and a key member of the Midwest Sales team.

The Midwest Sales team is headed by a Regional Vice President and four Regional Sales Directors.

Our team has about six AE’s in Chicago and many in market throughout the Midwest in markets such as Minneapolis, Kansas City, Pittsburgh, Indianapolis, Louisville, Detroit, St. Louis, Des Moines, and Cincinnati.  

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Existing agency relationships to help set up meetings out of the gate
  • Existing publisher relationships
  • Prospect and develop new business opportunities through cold calling and networking
  • Hit/Exceed established revenue goals
  • Manage account list to service digital media campaigns on behalf of digital agencies across online publishers
  • Familiar with research tools and analysis
  • Research opportunities thoroughly and proactively, identifying an advertiser's needs while working with Client Services to propose efficient solutions
  • Present the value proposition of Centro to digital clients through intelligent, exciting presentations
  • Establish strong relationships with advertising agency and client direct personnel, including all decision-makers and key influencers from junior media planners to top management
  • Work with Account Manager(s) to present supporting research for media strategies and publisher recommendations
  • Respond to campaign reporting results and recommend optimizations in conjunction with Account Managers
  • Advise Account Managers on client requests regarding research data, publisher rates, and inventory
  • Interact with online publishing partners to secure ad inventories and specialized ad products
  • Become a positive and influential presence in your region

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years of in-market digital media experience (digital media sales preferred); 5+ years experience in advertising and media preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher preferred
  • Proven ability to grow sales opportunities within existing client base
  • Proven ability to prospect, cold-call and create new sales opportunities
  • Desire to build lasting client and vendor relationships
  • Excellent presentation skills and strong attention to detail
  • Strong organizational, business writing and negotiation skills
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint and Outlook)
  • Familiarity with ComScore, Nielsen/NetRatings, @Plan, Media Audit a plus
  • Use of sales / CRM software (e.g. Salesforce.com, etc.) a plus
