Are you an experienced Payroll Analyst with a good sense of humor, a rock-solid work ethic, and mind-blowing attention to detail? If so, we’ve got a home for you here on our world class Accounting and Finance team. We’ve built a truly exceptional team of Accounting professionals who take their jobs, but not themselves, very seriously. If you think you have what it takes to join the ranks, read on… More about youYou enjoy the human side of accounting. As the Payroll Analyst based in Austin, TX, you get the opportunity to interact with employees daily as you process US and International payroll and prepare payroll-related journal entries and reconciliations. You will partner with Accounting, HR, and Legal to ensure payroll is accurate and processed timely. The payroll service desk will be your baby, as you strive to help your fellow Atlassians with any and all payroll questions they might have. Typical questions include inquiries on time sheets and vacation balances (non-exempt employees), taxes and direct deposit. The Payroll Manager will also count on you to help with special projects which may include system upgrades or enhancements, quarterly or year-end audits and process improvements. You're a strategic thinker and will ask "why?" to be sure you understand the process from end to end. Ideally, you have experience processing payroll for a multistate/multinational company with bonus points for public company experience (including experience with equity transactions). We'd love it if you're a CPP. The thought of ADP and Workday make you smile and you're fluent in Excel, even better if NetSuite or another equivalent system (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is in your regular vocabulary. More about our teamYou will be a member of the operations accounting team at Atlassian. This team is responsible for AP, AR, GL, Payroll and Opex accounting. In this role you will work with various members of the accounting team in addition to department managers to ensure employees are paid timely, accurately and that monthly accounting deliverables are met.
