Your Responsibilities

STYLIGHT aims to be the most visually engaging social application for fashion. Used by millions every month, you will scale our platform through the clouds. Come on board and shape the future of fashion in the new millennium! You will design and operate our AWS server cluster, ensuring high availability and low response times. That includes setting up monitoring systems and helping resolve outages. Furthermore, you will be embedded in the development team, providing them with a controlled, streamlined environment. Let’s script that thing!

Your Profile

• Master of Puppet(s) or Chef.
• All your belongings are stored in a git repository.
• New Relic is your BFF.
• You speak whatever language is needed: ruby, bash or python.
• Unit testing & continuous integration are something you can’t do without.
• Ability to work in a small team / startup setting.
• Ready to work at our headquarters in Munich, Germany.
• Exceptional candidates will have: B.S. or better in Computer Science; Seen all layers of the network stack; Launched more than 100 EC2 instances; Debian package maintenance experience; Worked with few of these technologies: AWS, Vagrant, github, nginx, Percona Cluster, MongoDB.

• We build software to improve the user experience and monetization of our website.
• We are an agile team, doing sprints of two weeks.
• We code primarily in python.
• We code on all sorts of platforms: 44% MacOS, 27% Ubuntu, 22% Windows, 5% Arch.
• We have JIRA ticket updates and Jenkins messages in Hipchat, plus we trigger deploys from here.
