Treehouse is an educational technology company. Our mission is to bring affordable technology education to people everywhere, in order to help them achieve their dreams and change the world. We operate in a flat structure with a distributed team, spread across 15 states and 2 offices. As the Human Resource Lead at Treehouse, you'll join our Operations team to help shape and drive our talent management strategy. You will need to be based in our Portland, Oregon office.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and review Company hiring, onboarding, and offboarding practices to ensure efficient, robust processes that maintain industry best practices
• Provide direction, counseling and hands-on support with HR specific issues/problems such as Employee Relations, Harassment, Disciplinary Counseling, HR Compliance, etc.
• Maintain knowledge of current human resource and benefit trends, laws, governmental compliance and company policies
• Conduct investigations related to specific issues raised through internal notification channels and other contacts to HR
• Track key information/reports pertaining to: turnover trends, market compensation data and employee relation issues
• Join company Review Committee, and participate in peer review process
• Coordinate annual merit and employee evaluation process with direction from the Compensation Committee and CFO
• Provide support for Company growth as it relates to new hires

Qualifications

• 7+ years of HR experience
• Outstanding writing abilities
• Excellent listening and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated knowledge of employment law

Preferred

• Strong understanding of web technologies
• Experience working with remote teams
