Job Summary If you're driven by the power of Design to transform customer's experience and bring a brand to life, and are energized by the challenge of delivering top-notch creative work and applying design principles in an agile setting inside a rapidly scaling business, Atlassian has a unique opportunity for you.  You'll lead our Marketing Design team, direct the work of outside creative agencies, and partner with stakeholders as they take us into new markets and as you help us build a design-lead company culture.  Our business is scaling rapidly, both in size and complexity as we launch new products.  Our teams are growing substantially, with new Designers joining your team in other geographies, and agencies coming onboard to help us build a creative ecosystem with global reach. Our strategy and brand are evolving constantly, and you'll have to balance thinking strategically with moving quickly as we develop our new creative direction and enter new markets. More about you We'd love to talk if you're a design leader with experience partnering strategically and creatively with stakeholders, ensuring quality while delivering fast, and building and leading a motivated team of designers across digital, print, and interactive projects.  You're a great partner with experience building alongside developers and writers, and you motivate others to push the technical and creative boundaries to invent new solutions to the biggest problems. You're an open collaborator with high levels of empathy when working with stakeholders, maturity when dealing with cofounders and executives, and passion when leading your team and championing your work.  You're wired to always consider the customer first, to think big — both near and long term — and to balance a strong bias to action with careful consideration.   Your colleagues describe you as a partner who's  solution-oriented and undeterred by challenges, frank with feedback but full of positive energy, and is courageous enough to say "no" and to challenge the status quo.  Your team views you as a leader and a mentor who's constantly making the team stronger, creating opportunities for growth, empowering others, and listening more than telling.  You know yourself, are aware of your strengths and weaknesses, and are constantly developing yourself, embracing change, and looking for new ways to solve problems. More about our team In one of our Design team off-sites, we attended 'Circus Training' where we learned to juggle and fly on a trapeze. It was intimidating for some of us, but we wanted to push ourselves outside of our comfort zone and not be afraid to fail. We are constantly growing, learning, adapting and trying new things. You’ll be joining a team that is crazy smart and very direct. We challenge each other constantly to improve our work and ask hard questions. We're dedicated to agile methodology and big believers in 'lean', which means we don’t do documentation for documentation's sake. We also know all too well the importance of validating assumptions about users and use various types of testing to prove ourselves right (or wrong).
