As a Senior Systems Engineer at Atlassian, you will be working in a global team focussed on delivering an exceptional workplace experience for our staff. You will design, deliver and support innovative best of breed solutions for our rapidly growing company, while ensuring availability, consistency and scalability. What You'll Do: Engage with other infrastructure teams to design and deliver on projects for our offices globally Liaise with the technical leads and architects to ensure platform consistency and scalability as we grow Drive innovation by coming up with new and surprising ways to do things Lead and influence with your knowledge and understanding of technology Required Skills: Excellent understanding of IT infrastructure up and down the stack Strong written and verbal communication skills, the ability to get people from "Why?", to, "How?" Good knowledge of networking and telephony Superior creative and innovative problem-solving skills Initiative with the ability to work independently and in a team Wide experience of both successful and failed projects - and the ability to talk about them in detail Ability to slice and dice problems so they can be worked on by several people Relaxed, yet enthusiastic attitude Preferred Skills: Experience with network firewall design, maintenance and administration Qualified in Cisco networking products Highly competent with Linux/Ubuntu Good knowledge of Active Directory VMware skills also well regarded Experience with Atlassian products a plus! Working within Agile methodologies Familiarity with the IT Service Management & the ITIL Framework Typical Experience: 7+ years experience of software development in a similar roles
