  • Successful candidates will be strong full-stack developers with experience creating user-facing features, maintaining large code bases, and engineering features with high scalability, security, and reliability.

Responsibilities:

  • Own, operate, and optimize Twilio’s web interface in production as well as a host of supporting back end services.
  • Drive projects from inception to deployment to production.
  • Write quality, maintainable code in PHP, HTML, CSS and JavaScript in a fast-paced professional software engineering environment.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.

  • You have tuned an interface based off of customer feedback and empirical data.
  • You have used pseudo-selectors, deferreds, and delegates in jQuery.
  • You have spent 4 hours figuring out what 4 characters are causing a bug and kind of liked it.
  • You have worked in both a monolithic and heavily service oriented architecture and understand the benefits of each.

Perks:

  • Full benefits including medical, dental, vision.
  • An Amazon Kindle, $30/month to spend on books (Twilio wants you informed).
  • Pre-tax commuter benefits.
  • Catered lunches and a weekly team dinner featuring invited technology and entrepreneurial speakers.
  • Excellent gear (we ❤ Apple computers and big monitors — two if you need 'em).
  • A strong belief in work/life balance.
  • Twilio track jacket after demoing your first Twilio app in front of the company!

Application notes:

  • Applications without cover letters will not be considered. Here’s some stuff you can include in your cover letter to move your resume to the top of the pile:
    • Discuss an app you built using Twilio (and include the link in the application below).
