New Relic is looking for a learning and performance leader, someone who will build a high-impact people development function, and is able to use a wide array of formats and venues. New Relic is a fast-growing and successful web services company, presently 500+ employees. We have a great rep for the quality of work life, tens of thousands of customers, and significant revenues. We are at a size that we need to inculcate the management disciplines that support the unique culture and values that have enabled our explosive growth. We are looking for someone who will be hands-on in creating and delivering development programs and mechanisms.

The right candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment with a bias for action. S/he is able to build high-trust partnerships with management and employees, and has a passion for creating programs that build a consistently enthusiastic employee experience.

This person will report the VP, People Operations and will work closely with him to:
  • Constantly assess emerging development needs.
  • Deliver high-impact learning and development programs.
  • Create innovative performance management solutions – job aids, performance standards, 360s, self-assessments, event-queued prompts, and whatever else you might be able to imagine and deliver.
  • Development of a comprehensive 90+ day onboarding program.
  • Partner closely with business leaders to translate key learning priorities into effective learning solutions.
  • Development and oversight of succession programs to ensure a pipeline of qualified talent.
What you need to have:
  • 10+ years of training/learning and OD experience.
  • Strong background in developing and delivering customized L&D programs with a focus on leadership and management training.
  • Expert communication, presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to influence, enlist, and inspire employees in other areas to be part of cross-org projects and initiatives
  • Experience deploying varied development modalities such as e-learning, mobile delivery, job prompts, as well as job- and org-redesign.
