Marketing Internship (Spring 2015) - Gengo - Job Board

This internship starts in Spring 2015.

In place of a traditional cover letter, please write a brief (two paragraph) message about why you would be a good fit for this internship.

Gengo is a Tokyo-based startup that’s making translation simple for everyone.

We help businesses and individuals go global by providing fast, high quality translation powered by the crowd. Over 10,000 translators worldwide work on the Gengo platform, and to date we’ve translated over 200 million words.

This is a rare chance to learn from a group that is ambitious about solving a real global problem—making it easier for the world to communicate freely.

You’ll gain experience in core areas of content marketing as you assist on projects with:

Copywriting and content research: Assist with the development of blogs, newsletters and special projects, including infographics and other campaigns. Leave your mark like former Gengo interns BenAmy and Charlie with whip-smart, insightful writing.

Production: Gain technical know-how by publishing content and helping maintain our editorial calendars. You’ll become intimately familiar with how to get our content out to users through WordPress, MailChimp and other well-loved tools.

Social media: Help generate and maintain a presence on our five networks through artful content creation, campaigns and ads. Help build our online community and measure the impact of posts.

  • Current undergraduate student with some related experience (study, extracurricular, work or otherwise—tell us)

  • Fluency in a foreign language

Perks

  • Daily compensation
  • Central location in downtown San Mateo—easy access to buses, Caltrain/BART
  • The opportunity to build a foundation in content creation for the web, from research through publication—helping you grow is important to us!
