Us: We’re a Tokyo-based Internet startup helping large and small online services go global through our API and unique human translation platform. We love working with internationally-minded people, and most of our team have lived in another country before. A few even speak more than 3 languages. Together: We will tap the power of the Crowd to help the world communicate freely. We will build applications/tools/prototypes that help Gengo deliver a large volume of translation jobs with high quality and at a rapid pace. This involves working with various functional teams to understand their requirements and building tools that help them run efficiently. You will also work on and enhance Gengo’s core translation platform from time to time. You will work with a talented, global team that manages work together very collaboratively.

Basic Qualifications:
- Experience in developing/deploying/maintaining web applications in Python and/or PHP and/or Go.
- Experience working with SQL based databases.
- Knowledge of scripting tools and technologies.
- Development experience on Linux or Mac platform.
- Desire to learn and apply new development tools and technologies.
- Good command of English.
Bonus Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of front-end frameworks such as jQuery, AngularJS or Bootstrap
- Experience working with Amazon Web Services.
- Familiarity with configuration management tools such as Chef.
